July Pinterest Pick 3

I can't believe that it's already July! This summer is moving way too fast for me.  I can't say that I've been as productive as I would like to be so it's time to buckle down and start getting ready for next year.  Just like all other teachers I spend a good amount of time on Pinterest looking for ideas to make this upcoming year better.  Here's my July Pinterest Picks!

I know everyone has see these awesome pics on Instagram and Pinterest from Miss 5th.  If you don't follow her on IG, you need to. She also has a great blog.  I plan on implementing these white board ideas this year. I can't wait to see how my kiddos respond.

I love everything Brooke Brown from Teach Outside the Box does! She has such great STEM activities. This is such a great post on how to set up your classroom for STEM all year.  My students would get so excited when I told them that we would be doing a STEM activity.  It allows them such a great opportunity to problem solve and work together. It also gives them the freedom to fail and try again. I think STEM activities gives them  place to understand that if you fail, you can always change it up and see what you come up with next time. In my classroom I have a sign for FAIL: First Attempt In Learning. This is something that we all need a little help with.

Flexible seating is THE hot topic right now.  I'm going all in at the beginning of this upcoming year this year.  I'm looping with my second graders to third grade this year.  I'm really excited about it!  Last year I traded all of my desks out for tables.  I also added stability balls.  I like both of those options, but I'm excited to change it up a bit at the beginning of this year.  Are any of you trying out flexible seating this year?
